NCDC Planning Applications

The planning applications for discussion at monthly parish council meetings are sent to the Chairman a couple of days prior to the meeting and if you are interested in viewing them please contact M Cox on 370373

The plans can be viewed at the Parish Hall by prior arrangement with M Cox, alternatively, they are available to view between 7.00 and 7.30pm on the evening of the parish council meeting.


CORNWALL COUNTY COUNCIL

One Cornwall - Supplementary Submission by Cornwall County Council

 

As part of the ongoing consultation process with regard to the successful Unitary Bid submitted by CCC it has now produced a supplementary statement which will be submitted to Government. The supplementary statement provides information on the progress that CCC has made in developing the bid for unitary status and explains why it thinks that unitary status is right for Cornwall. Commission for Rural Communities (CRC)

Economic Significance of Post Offices Combined with a Village Shop

The CRC commissioned a study on the economic significance of post offices combined with village shops. The research explored the importance and co-dependency of combined rural post offices and village shops and the report provides an overall perspective on their viability. CRC undertook this research to help form the Government’s proposals for the future of the rural post office network.

NEW COASTAL PATH TO OPEN ENGLAND’S CLIFFS AND BEACHES

The right of people to walk along a 2500 mile coastal path around England is expected to be rushed through Parliament within a year (The Times Feb 2007)

The aim is open up beaches, inlets and cliff tops that have so far been closed to public access and to allow walkers to enjoy these spectacular views of the shore. The complete route, however, may take as long as ten years to map out unless agreement is reached with landowners. The new right to roam was agreed by the board on Natural England. A consultation paper is now expected.


YOUTHBANK

YouthBank is an innovated UK wide grant making initiative run by young people for young people. It provides small grants to young people for activities of benefit to the community which also benefit young people taking part.
